Still productive?

Yes ... so extremely productive (should read busy) that I dont have time to blog. Presentation, exam and report due next week and a well deserved nervous breakdown (hopefully) when everything is over.

Over and out until April.

Awsomly productive !!

Yes I am, arn't I, just look at the picture !!!

All the mac stuff is white, there is the mac mouse in my hand and the white mac keyboard and you can just barely see the corner of the mac screen.
Then all the PC stuff is black, there is the red wheeled mouse on the left side and the keyboard and then I use the laptop screen. Operting 2 mice at the same time seems to be no problem :) but I still find that not being able to work my eyes independently of each other has become the bottleneck :)

Time flies

I just realized today that time flies even faster than I think. I actually have for some time now thought of the year as a clock which means that each month is an hour and even with that abstraction I am still amazed at the speed of it all. The eye opener for me today was while donating blood. I have been regularly donating blood for years but I have not gone in some time now. The blood bank used to call me to remind me to come every time it had been more than 4 months since my last visit. Today there was this bloodbank bus outside my school, it's the first time I've bee on their bus and I have to admit it was very cool, it's just one of those fully equipped labs on wheels. Anyways, when I got there the woman asks me if I have come before and I answer "well yeah, but not very recently, I am sure I did not come at all last year". She looks up my data and well yes I was there last in june of 2001, yes you heard it correctly 2001.
Back in the old days *cough* *cough* I always did donate on fridays (not every friday, but when I did go I picked a friday :) and the gain was twofold, the bloodbank always offered lunch on fridays (only kakes and orange juice other days) and then the getting drunk that evening would be so unpredictable, since the low tolerance.
Well I decided to not get drunk tonight, even if I donated, so my gain this time is to loose half a kilo and I actually am pondering the thought of stepping on the scale this evening to witness that. I think might actually be getting old :/ wonder if that is related to all the flown time :)

No pain no gain

Okay so I started this excercise program a few days back and to keep a long story short, I cannot move today. Nothing serious though, it's ONLY the muscles that I use to sit up, stand up, sit down, laugh well and yeah, lift my legs :S
Today I am going to work on shoulders and arms so my guess is that I will be completely immobile tomorrow, at least today I can use my hands to assist in all the above, well except laughing of course, cannot seem to do that one with my hands only (so no funny remarks ok, I mean it).
The program continues with Yoga tomorrow that I either will not be able to perform or that will get rid of all my sore muscles, care to bet on which one it will be :)

technology and technology

I bought myself this awsome mac-mini in LA and after a short internet search I decided that the best way to go was to buy a standard mac-mini and then separately buy more memory and then do the installing myself (jíha). Thought it would be a fun adventure B-)
Ok, so I had the internet article describing how to do this and all the equipment (very thin putty knifes ((kíttispaða:)))) ready. The opening of the thing was actually the hardest part, medling the 2 putty knives in between the plastic sides to open it without breaking anything. I was relieved when that one was over. The rest of the work was actually removing one part at a time, starting with the DVD drive and HDD drive working my way down to the bottom because where else would the memory slot be :) The whole inside was the tightest fit possible, and each step needed to be performed with caution and of course the whole experience was fun in a nerdy kinda way.

I actually did the work very shortly after coming home from LA, couldn't wait to open my mac-mini and dive in ... and the reason I havn't blogged about it before is because the included pictures were on my phone and I just didn't feel like opening the phone and diving in for them :/
